The challenge.

Fashion Wholesale ran a £900k/yr B2B operation entirely off PDF linesheets, a Wufoo form, and a Wednesday-morning order phone line. The brand had a strong DTC presence on Shopify and a queue of stockists asking for a self-serve buy portal.

The internal team was processing every order manually into the DTC backend. Order entry took 18 minutes a line on average. Errors were frequent. Net30 invoicing was a separate Xero workflow that ran a week behind.

Brief: launch a B2B buy portal on Shopify Plus B2B with proper company accounts, tier pricing, Net30, and an experience their stockists would actually use.

Approach.

Week 1–2

Customer + tier modelling

Mapped 84 active stockist accounts onto Plus B2B Companies. Built three pricing tiers, payment-term sets, and an MOQ ruleset by SKU.

Week 3–5

B2B catalogue + portal build

Custom buyer-facing storefront with linesheet view, quick-order grid, and saved order pads. Inventory visibility per tier.

Week 6–7

Net30 + Xero integration

Draft order → Xero invoice → Net30 payment terms with auto-reminders. Order ships when invoice issues — no separate workflow.

Week 8–10

Stockist onboarding + soft launch

White-glove onboarding for top 20 stockists. Two-week parallel operation (portal + legacy form). Hard cutover after week 10.
